Chansons de Bilitis was among the most beautiful livre d’artiste of the period and one of the best
examples of Barbier’s early work.With 42 illustrations by him engraved and colored by the book’s
designer, François Louis Schmied, it was a skillful collaboration between the Art Deco masters.
