Brassaï joined other Parisian photographers for the promotional campaign for Victor Vidal’s Diana Slip
Company, which offered non-traditional fetish and fantasy lingerie for the boudoir and the inspired exhibitionist.
This image is well-documented to be by Brassaï.
VictorVidal was the creator of risqué Parisian magazines of the 1920s and 30s (Paris Magazine, Pages Folles,
Lire a Deux, and others). He also operated numerous boutiques catering to his special clientele, and had quite
a reach into the “demi-monde” of nude and erotic material made in Paris.
