Group of 4 very unusual photo albums-cum-diaries, comprising: a cyanotype album inscribed to
Miss MattieTyler from Sophie K. Brace (1902) with 16 cyanotypes; a honeymoon album with a total
of 83 silver print photographs depicting a couple’s European holiday, with colorful hand-drawn
designs on 11 pages (1923); a French album in which very small silver print portraits of young women
or men respond to the prompt, “Faites votre portrait physique” [describe yourself physically], with
extensive handwritten ruminations; and a child’s scrapbook entitled “My Trip to California and
Mexico” (apparently an English project undertaken by one Jack Freese), with two-hole punch blue-
ruled sheets containing 21 mounted snapshot silver prints, each the starting point for a short story that
was transcribed in impeccable Gregg penmanship (his mother’s?), (1930s).Various bindings, various sizes.

A scrapbook with 57 cut-out reproductions entitled “The Courtship of Peter and
Polly,” each annotated in beautiful penmanship. Folio, purple wrappers, with a mounted hand-colored
photograph of a child with garlands in her hair who is holding a posey; ties. Circa 1910.
