Hassall studied in Antwerp and trained at the
Academie Julian in Paris before settling in London.
He was a prolific designer, creating over six hundred
posters in a seven-year period. He created
advertisements for both theaters and for commercial
products, such as Nestle’s. This image was also used
on postcards. DFP-I 73.
