donations, complaining that he hasn’t time to do it, asking whether she could donate, com-
menting on the unwise spending habits of a friend, inquing about his uncle, expecting a
visit to York, and complaining about the abominable weather: “[I]t looks as if it wanted to
snow. I shall be very glad when I get out of it.” 3 pages, 8vo, written on the first three pages
of a single folded sheet.

(supposed to have fallen overboard from the Bombay—one of our floating Hospitals, now done
away with). It is perhaps better for you to inform the poor wife than for me. Perhaps I may still
have the pleasure of hearing from you. Pray believe me in haste ever yours.”
