Inkworks Press. 1976. [200/300] For the 7th anniversary of the Stonewall Riot, Pillar appropriated the image of a woman demonstrating from a 1970 poster designed by Su Negrin. That poster, printed by Times Change Press, bore a quotation of Lucy Stone, from 1855; “In education, in marriage, in everything, disappointment is the lot of women. It shall be the business of my life to deepen this disappointment in every woman’s heart until she bows down to it no longer” (https://issuu.com/ centerforthestudyofpoliticalgraphic/docs/out_of_the_ closet_exhibition/107) 112 113
