Greece, 1848 [1,000/1,500] The drawing fits closely to a sequential group in the holdings of Harvard University: vistas of Zante from Lear’s first trip to Greece dated April 1848 and each loosely numbered in pencil “23-26”; the present sketch is penciled “21” in a similar manner at the lower right. 374
