[Boston, 1747] [6,000/9,000] Scarce map of New York City, western Long Island, and northern New Jersey issued in “A Bill in the Chancery of New Jersey”, an outline of colonial land disputes within the region. The Bill was printed and sold by Benjamin Franklin in Philadelphia and included this map, along with two others engraved by James Turner of Boston, representing some of the earliest American-published cartography of the region.
