[700/1,000] “The Forbidden Door” was written around a series of fantasy drawings Heyer created at Lucasfilm Ltd. in the 1980s while she was working on “Return of the Jedi.” The watercolors were later submitted to Viking Press where they were enthusiastically received and prompted a book proposal. 28 c MARGARET and FLORENCE HOOPES. Tuttle, dated June 28, 1939; a photocopy of a Western Union telegraph from Tuttle to the Hoope sisters, dated November 8, 1939; two copies of “If I were Going” by Mabel O’Donnell (Evanston, IL: Row, Peterson and Company, 1941) and one copy of “The New Through the Green Gate” by Mabel O’Donnell (Evanston, IL: Row, Peterson and Company, 1950).
