360 c   (INSURANCE CLAIM) Insurance agent’s album with 20 photographs documenting the step-by-step walk through of the events leading up to, during, and after a car crash at the intersection of Lake and Asheboro Streets in High Point, North Carolina. The album starts with views of the road as seen by both the defendant and plaintiff prior to the collision, followed by evidence at the site of the crash. Finally, including images of the two vehicles, first the defendant’s dented 1940 Chevrolet Coupe and second the plaintiff ’s T-boned Ford splattered with yolks and whites from the 131 dozen eggs being transported at the time of the incident. Silver prints, the images measuring 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), mounted recto only to black pages, each with a detailed typed caption identifying the subject of the photograph and date, affixed to page recto. Oblong 4to, brown boards; dossier-style binding. 1957   [1,200/1,800] 361 c   (ADVERTISING AND MORE) Group of 3 binders with more than 220 diverse photographs including seasonal pics of Santa Claus arriving by plane, window displays, busy table settings, housewares (furniture and dinnerware), architectural exteriors and home interiors, views of New York City, and many landscapes in Pennsylvania. Silver prints, the images measuring 7 1 / 2 x9 1 / 4 inches (19.1x23.5 cm.), and the reverse, the sheets slightly larger, a few with a Port Authority of NY label or Dana B. Merrill Studio hand stamp on verso, and many of the landscapes with a handwritten caption on verso. 1940s. AND— A cabinet card of baseball player John Briel.
