Also includes Raymond St. Jail, Brooklyn, New York; Northampton County Jail, Easton, Pennsylvania; Buncombe County Jail, Asheville, North Carolina; Wise County Jail, Wise, Virginia; Jefferson County Jail, and Louisville, Kentucky. With a few exterior scenes of completed facilities and others during construction. The pictures focus on the modernist graphic quality of (empty) cell exteriors; there are related studies of other ironworks, including heating pipes, electrical boxes, bolted doors, mechanical devices, barred windows, and radiators lining the long, empty hallways.
