Detailing both residential buildings and city landmarks and including close ups as well as vast landscapes of ruined architecture with and without human figures (some of whom appear to be lining up for assistance, working, or out to see the devastation). Accompanied by a provenance letter. Silver prints, the images measuring 3 1 / 4 inches (8.3 cm.) square (18) and 2 1 / 2 x3 1 / 4 inches (7) (6.4x8.3 cm.), and the reverse. 1906 [1,000/1,500] 338 c   (KANSAS CITY, KANSAS) Album with 44 large-format photographs showing street views of Kansas City by the Anderson Photo Company. Depicting many bustling high streets in the downtown area; busy intersections with crossing guards, moving traffic, trolley cars, and pacing pedestrians; and views of the large, towering buildings, complete with advertising signage for period products and companies. Silver prints, the images measuring 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto/verso to board album pages, nearly all with the photographer’s credit in the negative.
