Born and raised in Chicago, Paula Wilson received a BFA in 1998 fromWashington University, St. Louis, and earned an MFA from Columbia University in 2005. She is a multidisciplinary artist working in painting, print, sculpture, video, and installation. She received a Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters & Sculptors Grant and an Art Production Fund grant to Givenchy, France. In 2007, she was shortlisted for the Joyce Alexander Wein Artist Prize from the Studio Museum in Harlem. Wilson’s work has been exhibited widely nationally and internationally including the Zacheta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw, Poland, the Studio Museum in Harlem, New York, and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Omaha, Nebraska.
