Vp, circa 1858-65 and undated [1,500/2,500] This collection features images based on at least 21 different photographs of Lincoln taken between 1858 and 1865—a treasury of the Lincoln image. Most are photographs, but a few photographs of engravings and carte- sized engravings are included. Highlights include a photograph of a painting based on the 1858 Roderick Cole portrait (Ostendorf O-14) * A rare example of Gardner’s August 1863 portrait (O-75) with backstamp of William Richardson of Brooklyn * An example of Gardner’s August 1863 O-77 portrait, described on verso as “a 1900 aluminum print from the original negative.” Complete list available upon request. 73 c   (PHOTOGRAPHY.)
