164 c   (SCULPTURE.) Caproni &Brother; after Volk. Large plaster draped bust of Lincoln. Plaster, 30 x 19 x 10 inches, painted brown, with Caproni tag on base verso; possibly some restoration under paint, minor soiling. Boston, circa 1900 [600/900] 165 c   (SCULPTURE.) Metal alloy stat- uette of Lincoln the Emancipator. 22 inches tall, on base with 8-inch diameter; minimal wear; Frank Kinst bookplate taped to bottom noting his 1970 purchase for $250. Np, 20th century [400/600] Lincoln holds a scroll titled “Emancipation” in one hand and a quill pen in the other, with a long robe hanging from one shoulder. The creator is unknown. Early owner Frank Kinst was a Lincoln enthusiast who commissioned a massive Lincoln sculpture for his Lincoln Federal Savings and Loan Association in Illinois. 164 165
