This is the first known lithograph of Louise Jefferson to come to auction. We located another impression of this very scarce print in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, with the supplied title, The Nightclub Singer . Another possible impression of this lithograph, entitled Lounge Singer , 1938, is listed in the artist’s papers at the Amistad Research Center, Tulane University, New Orleans. [4,000/6,000]
