Provenance: ACA Gallery, New York; private collection, Florida (2006). With this work on paper, Faith Ringgold depicts the first panel of her 2004 Jazz Stories: Mama can Sing, Papa can Blow series of story quilts. The quilt series was the subject of a solo exhibition at ACA Galleries, New York in January 2005. She also made two versions in color screenprint in 2004 and 2007 - impressions are in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. [12,000/18,000]
