Poster, 25 1 / 2 x 19 1 / 2 inches, on paper tinted yellow to pink; spot-mounted into lucite frame on verso, worn with moderate loss along right edge, a few closed tears and repairs, most notably three 2-inch repaired tears. Los Angeles, CA: Westside Press, [October 1970?] [2,500/3,500] Reproduces a newspaper article about the arrest, with a caption: “Not a chance! Have you seen them at work? District Attorney Evelle J. Younger and Chief of Police Ed Davis, if given enough time, they could connect her with the ‘Crucifixion of Christ’!” Vermont S. Galloway (1921-1972), the printer behind this and other Westside Press posters, was later shot to death by the Los Angeles police. None others traced in OCLC or at auction.
