321 c (PHOTOGRAPHY.) Group of 4 photographs of scenes in Florida. Albumen prints, promenade-card format (each about 4 1 / 2 x 7 1 / 2 inches) on original pho- tographer’s mounts; minimal wear. Jacksonville and Ocala, FL, circa 1890s [500/750] Includes two cards by O. Pierre Havens of Jackson- ville: an African-American man driving an oxcart, captioned “15th Amendment” in the negative; and another fishing under billowing Spanish moss, cap- tioned “St. John near Blue Spring” in the negative. Havens worked in Jacksonville from 1888 until his death in 1912. The other two are by Colby of Ocala: a distant view of a man of indeterminate race atop a logging cart, captioned in ink “Selks Bluff, Ocklawaha River,” and an untitled view of an orange orchard. 322 c (PHOTOGRAPHY.)
