295 c   (MID-CENTURY MODERN) A handsomely produced retro catalogue with 34 photographs of furniture design by Andrew Szoeke, featuring beautiful hand-lettered period typography. Comprised of dramatically lit furniture, including glossy mahogany cabinets, night tables displaying tchotchkes, walnut burl pieces with glass tops and inlaid marquetry, chests of drawers with delightful starburst motifs, and more. Silver prints (34), the images measuring 8x10 to 10x13 inches (20.3x25.4 to 25.4x33 cm.), and the reverse, 16 with hand-lettered notations, in the negative, the others with hand-lettered notations collaged on recto. Folio, tan leatherette, 28-ring binding with clear acetate sleeves; covers detached, about half of the photographs loose. Circa 1961 [2,000/3,000] 296 c   (BRIDAL FASHION SHOW— LONG ISLAND) A 1960s binder containing 61 chic photographs and various ephemera pertaining to the Buckner’s World of Bridal Fashions show at Carl Hoppl’s in Baldwin, New York. With images depicting a catwalk-style fashion show presenting Hoppl’s ’68 line of women’s bridal wear. Also with ephemera relating to the show, including letters to Carl Hoppl, a list of the models, assorted press clippings, invites, and advertising brochures. Chromogenic (60) and silver (one) prints, the images measuring 5x3 1 / 2 and 10x8 inches (12.7x8.9 and 25.4x20.3 cm.), mounted recto/verso to black, sleeved pages. 4to, red plastic-covered boards; 3-ring binding. 1968 [700/1,000] 295 296
