Platinum prints, the images measuring 7 1 / 2 x9 3 / 4 inches (19.1x24.8 cm.), and slightly smaller, and the reverse, each with a caption, date, and inventory number in the negative. Neatly compiled album entitled Union Stock Yards Co., South Omaha, Nebraska. With 15 crisp photographs depicting various facets of the once energetic trackside livestock market including cattle pens (both empty and full); examinations by cattlemen; crammed rail yards packed with billowing steam trains; nearby factories, packing companies, and the Stock Yards National Bank Silver; and a gang-like group portrait of well-weathered Brakemen at the Yard Master’s office. Silver prints, the images measuring 4 1 / 2 x6 1 / 2 inches (11.4x16.5 cm.), tipped to heavy grey pages, a third with an identifying arrow, in ink, on the image, and each with a detailed typed caption on page recto. 4to, paper covers with a handwritten title; split- pin binding.
