350 c   (EMPLOYEE I.D. BADGES) A f ine collection of 35 mugshot-like employee I.D. badges used by American companies involved in manufacturing and industry during and following WWII. With portraits of male and female laborers, including badges for companies such as Firestone, Fairchild Aircrafts, the New Haven Clock Company, Sinclair Oil, CBS-Columbia, Shell Oil, United States Steel Corp., Anderson Photographic Company, and numerous others. Most are oval or circular, a few are rectangular; celluloids and pinbacks; various sizes. 1940s-50s WITH—A set of 4 employee I.D. cards from the Scranton Electric Company. Silver prints, the images measuring 1 1 / 2 x1 1 / 4 inches (3.8x3.2 cm.), the cards 2 1 / 4 x3 3 / 4 inches (5.7x9.5 cm.), each with typed descriptive info, and the employee’s name and fingerprints, in ink, on card recto.
