With rural, roadside, and trackside views of large oil tanks and drums, nearly all emblazoned with the iconic Texaco star logo, in the open American landscape. Silver prints, the images measuring 2 1 / 2 x3 1 / 2 to 3 1 / 2 x10 1 / 8 inches (6.4x8.9 to 8.9x25.7 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto only, to blue or green legal-sized sheets, measuring 14x8 1 / 2 inches (35.6x21.6 cm.), as many as 4 images per sheet; each sheet with a typed or handwritten caption with the location, date, camera direction, and other identifying information, on recto. 1940-59 [1,200/1,800]
