337 337 c   (FLAPPERS’ FASHIONS) A group of 38 stunning and retouched photographs of bourgeois fashionistas decked head-to-toe in elaborate gowns and dresses from high-end designers such as Henri Bendel, Coco Chanel, and others. Including various views of upper-class women in attention-garnering outfits embellished with strings of pearls and heavy fur trims. Each is retouched providing a surreal visual quality and partially removing the model from the period back­ drops. Silver prints, each measuring approxi­ mately 10x8 inches (25.4x20.3 cm.), and some slightly smaller, with editor’s reproduc­ tion markings and retouching on recto, and many with captions, in ink, and typed labels, as well as numerous date and reproduction hand stamps, on verso. 1920s [1,000/1,500] 338 c   (WINDOW DISPLAYS) A contemporary binder containing 34 photographs of elegant and upmarket window displays. Including stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord and Taylor, Arnold Constable, and Russeks. Silver prints, each measuring approximately 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), and the reverse, many with a photographer’s credit and inven­ tory number in the negative, and most with a Rosse Studios hand stamp on verso. 1930s [800/1,200] 338
