321 c   (SNAPSHOTS—CUSTOM SHAPES AND SIZES) An artfully printed and compiled snapshot album, containing approximately 662 frolicsome and competent photographs, many of which are printed and trimmed to playful shapes such as apples, pipes, butterflies, owls, and more. Including various scenes of rural American life, including tending to the horses, cows, pigs, and chickens; vacationing with the family, by both car and boat; and images throughout of women and children posed in numerous costumes and outfits, each for a different occasion, and some apparently for performances. Silver prints (655) and cyanotypes (7), the images measuring 1x 1 / 2 to 3 1 / 2 x5 inches (2.5x1.3 to 8.9x12.7 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto/ verso to black pages, as many as 10 to a page, many with captions and dates, in white ink, beneath the images. 4to, brown crocodile leatherette. 1908-15 [1,200/1,800] Many of the photographs in this album were printed in custom shapes with handmade printing templates.Each was then meticulously trimmed to the detailed shape, leaving a fine white border. 322 c   (LACE) A selection of approximately 100 delicately rendered photographs of lace samples from the Scranton Lace Company, Pennsylvania. Each photographed with fine detail on a dark background, and with a number pinned to the piece. Silver prints, the images measuring approximately 4 1 / 2 x2 3 / 4 inches (11.4x7 cm.), the sheets just slightly larger. Circa 1910-20 [1,200/1,800] 321 322
