With numerous beautiful close-up images showing the intricacies and natural patterns found in the complex cells of Ptreridophyta, Thalophyta, and Algae. Silver prints, the images measuring 1 1 / 2 x2 to 3x4 inches (3.8x5.1 to 7.6x10.2 cm.), mounted recto/verso to brown pages, each page with a general heading, and annotations, in ink, identifying the various species and cell structures. Oblong 4to, printed wrappers with a handwritten title; tied binding. Circa 1930 [1,200/1,800] The album was acquired from a larger collection of photographs by Harold Bastin, a renowned English scholar who published multiple titles on plant and insect life. The album is believed to have been compiled by him.
