superb, well-inked impression with strong contrasts and with all the details distinct

rework and from the earliest Basan edition if not before the Basan editions altogether;

White and Boon’s third state (of 3). Shield (?) with Paris and the date 1680 inside

watermark (Ash/Fletcher 39 A.). A very good, strong impression of this large etching,

with the robes of Simeon and Mary dark and well contrasted. Bartsch 49; Biörklund 40-
