wing, consistent with early impressions of this subject. Partial Strasburg Lily watermark

(Ash/Fletcher 36; they note a similar watermark on an impression of this subject in the

Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam). Ex-collection George Biörklund, author of one of the

standard catalogue raisonnés of Rembrandt’s etchings (Lugt 1138c, verso). A brilliant,

richly-inked, crisp impression of this important etching with strong contrasts and no sign
