Canadian-born MacLellan was one of Howard Pyle’s students. He is best remembered for his forty-
four Saturday Evening Post covers painted between 1913 and 1936, and his Coca Cola and Fisk
Tire advertisements. His specialty was painting portraits of attractive young women.
