A fascinating look into how artists submitted
their designs for the famed publisher of sub-
scription illustrated books, The Limited
Editions Club. A look through Taylor’s pro-
posed illustrations, including racy nuns, partying
monks, much nudity, and a smattering of sex
and violence explains why the highly accom-
plished but much too naughty nature of these
images was not suitable for the staid publisher.
It was never accepted.
