An exceptional finished watercolor by the illustrator of Winnie the Pooh (1926). This lively design
depicts the jollity of Christmas Day in fourteenth century England. On the original color sketch (not
here), Shepard wrote that he sought “general effect rather Brueghel” in its composition and colors.
