Canadian-born artist Norman Price was a fre-
quent contributor to American Magazine,
Cosmopolitan, Liberty, St. Nicholas, Woman’s
Home Companion and other national maga-
zines. He was especially good at depicting
historically accurate scenes such as this picture
set in the 1840s-1850s.
