In the late 1940s, Richard Avedon became the chief photographer for
Harper’s Bazaar.
Throughout
his career, while remaining active in the field of fashion photography, he also became involved in Civil
Rights and anti-Vietnam war photography. For the January 9, 1967 issue of
Look
magazine, he
produced solarized portraits of the Beatles which were issued in several formats, including posters.
Icons of their era, these images captured the legendary rock group at the peak of their fame. Images
