An archive of approximately 140 aerial snapshots of Los Angeles taken from a helicopter for Look magazine.
The detailed photographs depict bird's-eye views of mansions and palm tree lined streets of the Hollywood and Beverly Hills areas, the sprawling coast lines of Santa Monica, orchards in the San Fernando Valley, architectural shots of Grauman's Chinese Theater, the Griffith Observatory, and St. Mary's College, and considerably more. Silver prints, the images measuring 3¾x4¾ inches (9.5x12.1 cm.), and the reverse, the sheets slightly larger, each with Brooks' credit, date, and the notation LA, in pencil, and some with identifying captions, in pencil and ink, on verso. 1952
