An album with approximately 70 male physique snapshots of 1940s bodybuilders posing in studios and on beaches.

Album with photos compiled by and in some cases inscribed to Antonio Arabia, a beefcake photographer. The album depicts bodybuilders performing acrobatic stunts on the beach as well as posing with flexed muscles. Some named bodybuilders include South African bodybuilder Corrie Pretorius, later a Mr. Universe winner, as well as Milton Meehan, a top participant in the Mr. California contest. Silver prints, the images measuring 2¼x1¾ to 6¼x7½ inches (5.7x4.4 to 15.9x19.1 cm.), and the reverse, most cornered in recto/verso, some with inscriptions to Arabia or with the subject's name, in ink or pencil, on recto or verso. Small oblong 8vo, leatherette, lightly worn; album partially disbound; ties. Circa 1946
