An typological album with approximately 190 photographs of quilts made by women across the Midwest.
Showcasing numerous complex patterns and designs, with each page devoted to one or two specific quilts, showing detailed shots, images of the quilt hanging, and sometimes on a bed. The quilts appear to be made by women living in the Midwestern United States, many of whom are identified by name and location. Silver prints, the images primarily measuring 3x5¼ inches (7.6x13.3 cm.), and smaller, and the reverse, the sheets slightly larger, mounted and in corners recto/verso, many with the name of the maker, the name of the pattern, other identifying details, and sometimes dates, in white pencil, below the images.
