An album entitled My Trip Around the World: S.S. Samaria, with approximately 265 photographs by Branson De Cou, including scenes from Egypt, India, and China.
Beginning in New York, the tour traveled to Madeira then across Northern Africa to Egypt, through India, Java, Manila, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Korea, and Japan. The album depicts everyday life in these countries, including portraits, rural farming methods, and busy Hong Kong streets; architectural wonders such as the Taj Mahal, Great Pyramids, and Great Wall of China; and beautiful natural landscapes, such as the cherry blossoms of Japan. Silver prints, the images measuring 3¾x4¾ and 4¾x6¾ inches (9.5x12.1 and 12.1x17.1 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto/verso to black pages, each with a detailed caption and inventory number, in the negative.
