Album entitled Views of Montevideo with 25 handsome photographs.
These elegant large-format photographs include bird's-eye views of the capital city, a couple busy street scenes, Plaza Independencia, stately shots of the neo-classical architecture, a university, hotels, a train station, parks, the seaside, and more, all finely-detailed and captured. The album originally belonged to Paul M. Warburg, an investment banker and early advocate of the U.S. Federal Reserve System. Toned silver prints, the images measuring approximately 7½x11 inches (19.1x27.9 cm.), and the reverse, all but one with a caption in the negative (the last with a caption on the mount). Oblong folio, the gilt-lettered title and "Mr. Paul M. Warburg" on the front cover; with an inscription and date on the first page, in ink; the prints mounted recto only to brown pages. 1916
