302 •(CINEMA--MEXICAN LOBBY CARDS)
A group of approximately 190 exuberant lobby cards promoting more than 30 different Mexican films distributed by Azteca Films (an American agency).
The marvelous graphics used in this B-movie press material, which featured alien invasions, love stories, westerns, and classics (like Zorro and Pancho Villa), was a close relation to the visual vocabulary used in American pulp fiction. The group is comprised of sets of prints (several issued in the original envelopes), in which multiple cards associated with the same film employed variant images to highlight a story. Silver prints, the images measuring 6½x7½ inches (16.5x19 cm.), the printed cards 11¼x13¾ inches (28.6x35 cm.); duplicates. 1960s
