A collection of approximately 115 photographs of elaborate neon signs advertising local businesses across America.
This group, taken throughout the late 50s and 60s, depicts drive-ins, laundry mats, liquor stores, restaurants, department stores, theaters, bowling alleys, and more. The professionally framed images show the signs both during the day and animated at night. Including some shots of colorful, non-fluorescent billboards. Silver prints, the images measuring 9x7 inches (22.9x17.8 cm.), and the reverse, the sheets slightly larger, some with a signage company's credit or the date, in the negative, and some with a photographer's hand stamp, on verso. 1950s-60s
