A collection of 43 candid WWII-era employee portraits from the Timken Roller Bearing Company.
Each featuring employees standing or seated at their work stations or desks, nearly all openly displaying their photographic employee I.D. badges. Including 18 photographs of female workers, some wearing head scarfs resembling Rosie the Riveter, and many of the men wearing worker aprons. Silver prints, images measuring 2¼x4 to 3 1/8 x4¾ inches (5.7x10.2 to 7.9x12.1 cm.), the sheets slightly larger, most with the employee's name and some with the date, in pencil or ink, on verso. Circa 1944-45
