Pair of elegant albums with 300 platinum prints and a typewritten account of a family's travels from New York City to Europe.
Each compiled and written by Robert N. Flagg. The first is titled "Recollections of England & France" and includes finely-composed shots of the Isle of Wright, London landmarks, Oxford, Shakespeare's house, the Louvre, Rheims, Chartres, Notre Dame, Mont St. Michel, the seaside, Liverpool, the English countryside, and more. With 212 platinum prints, the images measuring 4¼x6½ inches (11x16.5 cm.), and smaller, and the reverse, tipped in throughout the text. Folio, ¾ leather over marbled paper with a gilt-lettered title and date on the spine. 1893. The second is titled "Memories of Germany," and includes Bremen, Berlin, Dresden, Nuremberg, Munich, Paris, London, and more. With 95 platinum prints, the images measuring 3¾x4 inches (9.5x10.2 cm.), and slightly smaller, and the reverse, tipped in at the left side with typewritten captions.
