Suite of 48 photographs depicting storefronts and interiors of liquor supplying businesses in Upstate New York.
With some images showing buildings before and after the opening of a new "watering-hole;" graphic storefronts complete with neon signage and the foil lettering of their approved liquor license number; saloon interiors with counter seating and swiveling stools; and the well-stocked shelves of numerous liquor stores and groceries. Silver prints, the images measuring 6½x8½ inches (16.5x21.6 cm.), each with various hand stamps, including some with a dated State Liquor Authority stamp, and many with identifying location notations, in pencil or ink, on verso. 1930s-50s
