317 •(CHRISTMAS TRADITION)
A series of 24 photographs, following the Bob Okin Family over a period of 30 years as they pose for their annual Christmas portrait, an all-American tradition.
Including a sequential run of twenty years (1961-81), highlighting how the nature of the formal family portrait develops and the styles of the times are reflected in dress and decor. The size of the family ebbs and flows, while every year its members grow older. Chromogenic prints, the images measuring 5x7 inches (12.7x17.8 cm.), and the reverse, each with a date in the negative or image, or in pencil, on verso, and a few with the notation "The Bob Okins," in ink, on recto. 1961-90
