Album entitled Motorcycle by R.L. Brethaner with more than 90 photographs, including riders preparing for local races at Monongahela Hill (Pittsburgh), many on Harley Davidsons, local heroes and their special stunts, mechanics tinkering with engines, and popular figures of the 1930s-40s.
The photographs depict well-known riders of the early 1960s, including Pat Mickey, Bonelly, Hook Maxwel, Tom McCormick, Jake Fisher, Dave Strawser, Elmer Morrow, Al Alu, Al Holger, Bob Supak, Chick Walker, Bill Holfmister, Claude Ball, Chuck Shmann, Eddy Sherley, Andy Wolis, and others, and a scene of an "open house" by R. L. Brethaner, who also compiled the album and apparently shot many of the photographs. With historic images of Bob Beatty, Jack Beaty, Rich Bacon, John Raymond, Cossack Riding, Sharpshooting, and a Double Stunt. Silver prints, the images measuring 2½x4 to 6¾x4½ inches (6.4x10.1 to 17.1x11.4 cm.), arranged 2 to 4 prints per sheet, some are identified on recto and most are captioned with labels by Brethaner. 4to, leatherette, with handwritten title, signature, and address label of of R.L.
