Album with 84 Belle Epoque-period photographs belonging to (or shot by) Mr. de Givenchy, Boulogne-sur-Seine, of fashionably dressed French men, women, and children enjoying a spin on an ice rink.
A series of enjoyable images that capture the "joie de vivre" of outdoor winter activity and also recall the marvelous family images of the child prodigy Jacques-Henri Lartigue. Printing-out paper prints, the images measuring 4 7/8 x6¼ inches (12.4x15.9 cm.), cornered to the pages, with numeric notations, in pencil, on verso. Oblong 4to, navy blue cloth, light wear and stains; with de Givenchy's(?) notations, in pencil, on the front flyleaf. Circa 1900
