Suite of 20 dramatic photographs of male and female bullfighters at Plaza Solera, Costa Rica.
With images of the fighters drawing in, dodging, and spearing the bulls, in a stadium plastered with graphic advertising along the bleachers for products such as Orange Crush, Blue Bird Beer, and Westinghouse Radios; credited to José Valverde. Silver prints, the images measuring 7½x9½ inches (19.1x24.1 cm.), and the reverse, each with the photographer's credit and an identifying caption in the negative, and half (10) with lengthy and affectionate inscriptions, from the depicted bullfighters to the photographer, in ink, on recto. 1940s
