Album with 50 professional photographs documenting contruction of the Maua Bridge which connects Jaguarão, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and Río Branco, Uruguay.
With numerous images depicting the sharply dressed (apparent) engineers and architects involved with the project; the heavily mixed workforce digging trenches, pouring concrete, and cautiously navigating the floating dock-like walkway alongside the semi-constructed bridge frame; and a few views of the photographer's and architect's office interiors, heavy machinery and local street scenes. Silver prints, the images measuring 6½x9 inches (16.5x22.9 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto/verso to thick pages, approximately a quarter with the photographer's (Fritz) credit in the negative.
