Contemporary binder containing a total of 131 mugshots spanning nearly 40 years, comprising 63 of con artists and 68 of pickpockets picked up in Philadelphia, Boston, Atlantic City, and Florida.
With 63 of the subjects allegedly guilty of a range of cons, some with unusual names (toilet racket, larceny trick, pigeon dropper, flim flam); 68 depict pickpockets from different socioeconomic and racial backgrounds. Silver prints, the single images measuring 2 3/4x2 1/4 to 3x2 inches (7x6.4 to 7.6x5.1 cm.), the sheets approximately 3 1/4x5 inches (8.3x12.7 cm.), most with typewritten information identifying the subject, their physical characteristics, and crime, on verso. 1933-61
