348 •(TEXACO GAS COMPANY) A mini archive containing a typology of approximately 120 photographs of Texaco Oil bulk plants and storage facilities throughout Utah and Idaho.
With rural, roadside, and trackside views of large oil tanks and drums, nearly all emblazoned with the iconic Texaco star logo, in the open American landscape. Silver prints, the images measuring 2½x3½ to 3½x10 1/8 inches (6.4x8.9 to 8.9x25.7 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto only, to blue or green legal-sized sheets, measuring 14x8½ inches (35.6x21.6 cm.), as many as 4 images per sheet; each sheet with a typed or handwritten caption with the location, date, camera direction, and other identifying information, on recto. 1940-59
